Utterly delightful - it's funny, it's romantic, it's adventurous, and shamelessly flirty. It's probably the best fic I've found for this ship, and I am obsessed. I am particularly picky about balance in a poly fic (both romantic and sexual); and this story nails it every step of the way.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Flawless diction, impeccable characterization, wildly immersive and satisfying in the way the canon could never be. Every failing was addressed in exactly the way it should have been by the writers, the romance is perfectly balanced with the plot; more was said in silences and hesitation than out loud, and every turn of events felt natural. I cannot recommend it enough.

    Summary

On August 26th, 1934, Gwen Stacy brushed past the doorman at the Ritz-Carlton, walked into the dining room, and set herself on fire.

With the city plunged into pandemonium, I didn’t think twice before I hit the pavement: both as private eye Peter Benjamin Parker, and behind the scenes as The Spider, New York City’s most notorious vigilante. The criminal underworld cowered at the sound of my name and the shadow of my webs — but there were some parts of the Big Apple’s seedy underbelly that I couldn’t begin to imagine…

    Bookmarker's Notes

Absolutely stunning. The characters are seamlessly integrated into another time, the historical research that went into this fic is extensive, and the Noir style is carried flawlessly throughout. The plot is well-driven, the pacing gets you hooked right off the bat, and the emotion this piece portrays is so unbearably real. I loved this story, and it may be one of the best fics I have read to date.

“Actually, can you do me a favor? No tempting. No sins. Just a way for us to spend some time together while I finish what I need to do.”

Aziraphale considered it and then nodded. “Well, I don’t see why not.”

“Can you pretend to be my wife?”

Absolute fucking masterpiece of a fic, ultimate married couple dynamic fused with the perpetual secret romance, tore me to shreds. I adored every sentence.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This was honestly one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching things I've ever read. I read it, and then I managed to wait a week, and then I read it again, absolutely unable to resist feeling this churn of emotions all over again. The depiction of pining was so intense - all the little ways a hidden affection leaks through, despite all the attempts to hide it, the way it's ever-present underneath everything, and the soft, but explosive way it's finally expressed - it drove a fucking javelin through my soul with its accuracy. And somehow, the characterizations remain so natural throughout, it's impossible to tear your eyes away.

Trust me, guys. This is a masterpiece.
