Dabi looks up to greet the customer and makes eye contact with a guy. Doesn't know how to define him. He’s young, maybe even younger than him, with pale azure hair and deep red eyes, and is wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. And he's pale. Like, very pale. Whatever. Dabi rises to his feet, closing his sketchbook and holding out a hand.
"Dabi," he says, eyes wandering on the other's face. He's pretty, Dabi distantly notes, with almost delicate lineaments, but there's something strange about the skin of his lips and around his eyes. And on his neck, now that he can look a little more closely.
The guy shakes his hand, his own a little dry and cold. Huh. "Shigaraki Tomura. Pleased to meet you." -

There's always something inherently fascinating in violence, in destruction.
Sometimes it's the act per se, sometimes it's just the power that hurting somebody gives him.
The power to do whatever he desires with somebody else's life, with somebody else's body, is a thrill that Kai still searches for even after the time he's spent at the head of the Hassaikai.
He has hundreds and hundreds of men he could order whatever he'd like, and they'd deliver, he knows it. He made sure of it.
He has his Eight Bullets, who would turn Osaka inside out at his word, he has Hari, who would probably just kill himself on the spot if Kai suggested it.
Still, nothing compares to this.

The question, said by a rough and preoccupied voice belonging to a person that's surely just woken up by the ringtone never fails to make Dazai's breath hitch, his heart flutter.
The boy takes a deep breath to control himself, eyes still unseeing, lost in the depths of his mind.
"Yes."
His answer is feeble, the voice missing the characteristic tone anybody he's ever talked to is unable to forget.
"Are you sure?"
Dazai doesn't answer that.
"Where are you?"
"I hurt it."

Summary
If somebody were to ask Hitoshi if he has a good life, the kid wouldn't know what to answer.
His days are so repetitive that they're almost boring, Hitoshi is more than willing to admit it. He's the eldest, so he makes sure that everybody is ready for their day before leaving for school.(He doesn't eat breakfast, he doesn't have the right to do so, but it's okay. In the morning he's not hungry anyway, really.)
So yeah, Hitoshi doesn't have a perfect life, but he has a good life, that's for sure. It could be way worse, after all. It was in the past.
