    Tommy was just trying to survive day by day, praying that he'd live long enough to age out of the foster system. He never expected to suddenly be told he was part angel, that he was a Shadowhunter, destined to rid the world of demons. And to top it all off, his deranged, murderous birth-family will stop at nothing to take back what they believe is theirs.
    Tommy just wants things to go back to normal.

    Truthfully, Orpheus knew this was stupid, even for him.

    But he really wanted some of those muffins that Siren had brought to their last meeting, and he couldn’t be bothered to change for one measly child.

    I mean, the kid in front of him couldn’t have been more than seventeen.

    So he watched, waiting for a reaction that never came, and Tommy tilted his head with furrowed brows.

    “Are you going to order, or just stare at me until we close?”

    Tommy is complacent in his life. He's got a job with people he trusts, a sort-of-brother, and enough money to manage on his own when they age out of the system. He's doing perfectly fine for himself, thank you very much, and he doesn't need the sort of family that this Phil guy keeps trying to offer him.

    Or, Tommy heals a villain and has to deal with the consequences of his actions.

    Author does not support Wilbur Soot, Dream, Georgenotfound, or Sapnap. Any mentions to them in the story originate from a time before the Wilbur Soot situation was made public and do not reflect my current hatred for them. This is not a safe space for their supporters.

    “I don’t believe you for a second,” the villager said with a scoff. “Reviving the dead? You, a god? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve heard in all my years.”

    “Oh? You don’t believe me?” Dream smiled. “That’s okay, I’m more than willing to give you all a demonstration. Tommy,” he called, gesturing to the blond.

    Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.

     

    Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.

    Tommy closed his eyes.
    And opens them in a field of snow, cold wet leaching through his spring clothes.

    When 16 year old Tommy dies to Technoblade, two points in time collide, leading to 10 year old Tommy and 16 year old Tommy switching places. One of them wants to go home, the other just wishes that he did die in that duel.

    Phil and his crows did not care much about Tommy, especially after his betrayal during the Doomsday. Even though, every creature has the power to be protective towards children, no matter what have happened in the past. When chat confronts broken Tommy after his resurrection they can't help, but follow little raccoon boy. Is it really surprising that Philza starts to look after Tommy as well?
