She can feel him even if she isn’t looking, those big eyes. Hollow spheres that eat up the space around them. She had been pressing her fingers along that old carving, three little crows. Reminiscing, something bitter and yearning in her chest as she perks up at him as he approaches. She doesn’t look up, can’t bear to.

Tommyinnit didn’t have powers until recently. And now he’s been cursed or blessed (depends how you see it) with the most powerful powers of all, one of the base 4 elements: Wind.
Who knew it would cause so many problems, to the point he is turned criminal vigilante just to be able to train his new found powers?
And that comes with its set of whole new problems when he is promptly fostered by the biggest Heroes in town. Plus it doesn’t help that he HATES heroes
(And what he doesn’t know, is this is also brewing a bunch of problems for him underground, in the criminal villain capital of Las Nevadas)

“The Jets were here first,” the boy breathed hot air into Tommy’s face. He tried to kick away panic strangling him just as much as the hands were. It didn’t help that the boy’s breath smelled like tuna, or maybe rotting onions. That sure was a calming aroma.
“Were,” Tommy said snarkily wiggling in the other boy’s grip. The Shark did his best to wedge his hand between the Jet’s wrists to hold himself up.
The Jet paused, clearly mulling over what Tommy had said.
“What?”
Tommy grinned. Fear bubbled in his stomach, but the anxiousness was used to create a terrible toothy grin that made every Jet in New York want to knock his teeth out.
“Key word, you were here first. Now we’re here, and I hate to break it to you buddy boy, but I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon”
“Shut up!”
Tommy rolled his eyes,
“What a comeback. Uff really got me right in the daddy issues,”

XD was dying.
It had been slow at first. Insignificantly small pieces of him were being ripped out and, as his being as a whole was infinite, he’d barely noticed.
But for months, years maybe, his divinity had been slowly depleting, until one day he realized that his connection to Limbo had been almost completely severed. A whole chunk of him was about to no longer exist. And it was a small fraction of an infinite, but it was one he could no longer ignore regardless.
From there, it kept getting worse. The human, Dream, the one that was stealing away his being piece by piece, was getting greedier. More impatient. More foolish. XD needed to stop his act of hubris.

"You know, you could use your chosen one to carry out your bidding” Foolish pointed out after a moment of reflection. “But nobody is gonna rally beside Tommy right now. They’ve all been wounded far too deeply by the events you refused to stop. There is no understanding between them. No empathy. No care. They’re divided, scattered, lost. We need to fix that from the roots”.
