“Hm… I don’t think so. Maybe that neighbor’s cat came back” Fernando says.
“Impossible, no cat has the courage to come near our house after last time” Mark said, convinced, but leaned over to look out the window and understand what caused his dogs so much commotion.
After a pause, he replied to his husband, with a crooked smile on his lips.
“Honey, I think I saw a kitten.”

Esteban is excited to get to work with Daniel and whatever thing he has for the Aussie and his stupidly hot tattoos is under control. Except Daniel doesn't like control or following rules, after all what's the point of art if you don't show it off and his influence might just help Esteban figure out some things.
***Smiling he waits for Daniel to look at him again, “It says fire or free?”, he asks playing it off as an innocent mistake. Daniel’s smile does not shake, but his eyes are calculating the words he’d heard. He licks his lips before biting at them making Esteban’s confidence disappear in a second.

“Do you miss Pierre?” Charles asks suddenly, a bar of chocolate halfway to his mouth.
It catches Este off guard. He’s tried not to think about it, really, scared of that jealousy he felt over the winter. It was an ugly feeling, best avoided. But he does. He misses Pierre something rotten. Charles is a whirlwind, fast and loud and always spinning Este in circles, while Pierre is a rock, never saying as much but those words mean far more. There is a comfort in wise silence, in warm beds and shared drinks and just barely catching the front wheel. “Of course I do.”
“Me too.”
