Familiars, Constantine had told Jason once, were helpful spirits that usually took the form of animals. They gravitated towards magic that had good intentions and often aided them, hence the imagery and paintings of old magic users with various animals. Jason had never seen one before, but Constantine had told him that he'd know one when he saw one.
So, when a black cat with slight latent magic had indirectly helped him solve last week's missing person case by leading him to their dead body? Yeah. Jason already named her Elizabeth.

Jason's always so fucking—coordinated, at first. Undoing the window latch and assorted traps with one hand, rubbing Roy with the other, sensation tantalizingly dull and rough through the layers. Sucking a hickey into Roy's hip while ridding him of his jeans. He’s thinking it all out. Thinking too much.
Roy's gonna enjoy fucking every last plan out of Jason's pretty little head once it's his turn.

Summary
Jason opens his eyes slowly. It’s still night, he's annoyed that he’s up. Why? Maybe he has some restless energy left. As he goes up to take a lap around the apartment, he finds that he can't move. He panics for a second before he takes a breath and evaluates the situation. He can’t move at all - he doesn't feel any pain nor any particular sluggishness other than what he felt when he crashed into bed. Everything seems slightly hazy and as he actually thinks, he realizes he's dreaming. He wouldn't know how to explain it to anyone else, but he knows he's dreaming.
Sleep paralysis? Really? Jason’s never heard a story where that ends up being good. It's always about some nightmarish demons coming to stare at you for hours.

he’ll never forget how he looked like with no eyebrows after he accidentally singed them off with a faulty smoke arrow, not with all the photos Wally and Donna took anyway
Watching metal bend and melt together to form something was something that fascinated roy
How the possibilities were practically endless with a creative mind like his own
With this particular project, Roy never knew how many ideas he had been missing
