Summary
Hwang Ji-a has always wondered about the father she's never met. A man who disappeared from her life before she could even remember him. Now 17, she stumbles upon a dark connection between her father's mysterious disappearance, and an old business card with a circle, triangle, and square tucked away in a black box wrapped with a pink bow. Determined to uncover the truth to give her Uncle Jun-ho some closure, Ji-a takes a leap of courage and enters the 46th Squid Game, where she will unknowingly fight to survive deadly children's games for a cash prize of 45.6 billion won.
Hwang In-ho chose the island over the world. A world he sees as irreparably cruel. As the Front Man, he watches the games from the shadows, believing the players are nothing but trash, already dead and waiting to be discarded. But when his daughter, Ji-a, enters his games, In-ho's bitter detachment is tested in the most brutal way. His deep hatred for an unchanging world clashes with the remnants of his own humanity—the love he has for his family.
