Stolas has secretly acquired the Asmodean crystal but is still hesitant to give it to Blitzo.
He wants to try one last thing to level the power balance between them, which is relinquishing his power temporarily by letting Blitzo use the angelic rope on him. Only he doesn't know that Blitzo has recently been traumatized when he was kidnapped by Striker.Blitzo ends up having a panic attack while Stolas is tied up, unable to touch him, to comfort him physically.
The only tool left to him is his voice.
