Summary
"He was just there to watch me. Just to watch me..." sobbed Tommy, on the verge of tears.
The wind ruffled his ragged, ash-covered hair as he stared up at the stars, closer than ever. A sharp shiver ran down his spine as he looked down at the shattered remains of Logstedshire. His blue eyes blurred, bright and liquid. Tears ran down his cheeks unchecked, but he no longer bothered to brush them away.
Nothing mattered anymore. His home didn't want him, his brother had abandoned him, his best friend had turned his back on him. Dream was right. Nobody really cared about him. And wasn't that a terrifying thought? Not anymore... Nobody cared about him anymore. Not even he himself cared about him. Why would he do that? Dream, he said it, he always said it, and it was true, it was true, it was true. He was annoying, by Prime, he was insufferable, why would anyone want to be around him? He was better off just getting out of the way himself. On his own terms. He wasn't going to die for Dream. Not for Dream.
Or, Tommy is tired of his exile, and Dream had left him. Nothing really mattered anymore.
