Summary
Celegorm and Curufin, desperate and afraid for Celebrimbor's fate, take up an offer from Namo. They will leave the Halls of Mandos into unraveled threads of the tapestry of time, and go back to a moment that put the course of their doom in motion.
They end up back in Nargothrond, several years before Beren and Luthien come seeking Finrod's help in their quest for a Silmaril. This time around, they choose differently. This changes everything.
(It starts with smothering a much-confused and rather-pleased Celebrimbor - and Finrod - with love and attention.)

Summary
Ambarussa and their friend, Aracáno, youngest and least looked after of the First and Second House, run away. Their fathers are clearly too engrossed in their miserable arms' race, and they might as well make their displeasure known in the melodramatic ways only young children can.
Fëanáro and Ñolofinwë must, thereby, co-operate to find and coax out the runaways.
Two bitter, stressed men riding alone in endless warm prairies leads to some intense conversations, a tension that is perhaps becoming a little suspect, and some— reassessments.

Írimë Lalwen is observant, sly, and knows her elder brothers, Fëanáro and especially-beloved Ñolofinwë, well. She knows their weaknesses; pride, insecurity, fire-in-the-gut. She knows the obsessive nature of their rivalry. She will gladly use it all to her advantage to have them cater to her wants.
