Buck lets out a shaky inhale, running a hand through Eddie's hair.
"Hey, hey—I'm here now, okay? You're okay, you're okay," He whispers—tries to look Eddie in the eyes—to not get lost in the sight of his bare thighs—at the flesh marred with jagged lines—because if he lets himself look at what Eddie has done to himself, he doesn't think he'll be able to look away from the mess in front of him.
Buck and Ravi decide Eddie needs a night out of town. Hours later, they're both gone and and Eddie chooses to stay behind for one more drink. What began as a fun night spirals into a distorted nightmare as Eddie wakes up dirty, alone, and forced to keep a new secret that rots him inside.
An alternative ending to season nine episode seven—where the night goes different in all the wrong ways.
