Evelyn is the new DADA teacher at Hogwarts. Severus Snape, ever craving that position immediately despises her. As an ex-auror Evelyn is aware od Severus' past and struggles and therefore greatly admires and pities the man. Attraction develops into a blooming romance, both of them connected by a dark past and secrecy.
So this is an AU where Severus survives the war and idk just goes on with teaching. And I have to point out that he's healed a good bit, so if you want the stereotypical Severus, this isn't for you. He obviously still has his essence, but he's a lot more emotionally mature and open-mindend. I kinda dislike how the FLs are usually always perfect and have to help him out so I kinda turned this around.
It's also written in first person.
This is the first fic I wrote and it was just really my obsession for weeks. It's quite long and just packed with different topics.
There is a bit of trauma, mentions of self harm and stuff, but I wouldn't call it heavy. It's pretty light and does have smut in later chapters. Wouldn't call it a slow burn though, because I really rushed into it. So yeah, enjoy!THIS IS NOT PERFECTLY ROUNDED UP, BECAUSE I KINDA DISCONTINUED IT MIDWAY THROUGH.
