They stood on the cracked and broken terracotta tiles of what was assumed to be the roof of someone’s dwelling, but no more. Now it was but a battered building, crumbling more and more every day. Levi felt the weight of his movement cause a tile to slip beneath his knee, though he righted himself and paid it no mind. Tumbling off the roof was the last of his thoughts.
