Summary
“What soup are you making?” Kim Dokja stands up, forcing himself a little higher to peer over Yoo Joonghyuk’s shoulder. The soup, viewed through the condensation against the lid of the pot, looks a furious, bright red. There are chunks of meat swirling around, green herbs accenting the rouge.
“Tomato,” Yoo Joonghyuk answers without skipping a beat.
“You wouldn’t dare.” Kim Dokja makes the most affronted face he can muster, huffing into Yoo Joonghyuk’s shoulder. “This is why I don’t miss you, Joonghyuk-ah. You’re evil. Evil incarnate. If only everyone knew how evil you really are, behind that handsome face of yours.”
“I’m joking,” Yoo Joonghyuk says. “It’s spicy beef soup.”
Kim Dokja gapes at him, blinking as if he’d suddenly seen the sky turn a bright shade of green. He laughs in disbelief.
Coming home to a meal simmering on the stovetop, Kim Dokja makes an announcement.

“I… like it, too, Dokja.” Yoo Joonghyuk’s fingers brush lightly against his thigh, his thumb rubbing small circles onto his skin. He squishes the flesh lightly between his fingers, as if Kim Dokja were a squish toy.
“Don’t squeeze there…” Kim Dokja weakly pushes his hand away, to no avail. Yoo Joonghyuk’s hand simply reattaches somewhere else.
As if it couldn’t get worse, Yoo Joonghyuk lays his head right on top of Kim Dokja’s thighs. He buries his face in them, before Kim Dokja finally pushes his head back upright, turning him to face Yoo Joonghyuk’s gaze.
“Don’t be embarrassed." Yoo Joonghyuk buries his cheeks further into Kim Dokja’s thighs. “It’s soft.” He nuzzles into Kim Dokja’s thighs even more to emphasize his point. Kim Dokja’s face flushes hot. He doesn’t need to know how soft his thighs are, damn it!
Kim Dokja’s pregnancy brings changes to his body he’s less than happy with. Yoo Joonghyuk has a different opinion on it.

Yoo Joonghyuk coughs, before abruptly forcing himself upwards. He wobbles a little, grasping onto the counter for leverage. It only helps a little. “I’ll get it. It’s not good for the baby… cough…”
“What’s not good for the baby, you bastard? Walking a few steps won’t kill the baby, Joonghyuk-ah. If you want what’s good for the baby, then you have to get better. If your body isn’t in working shape, then your pheromones won’t be either. You remember what the doctor said, right? It’s of utmost importance for both parents to stay healthy, because the alpha’s pheromones directly affect the development of the baby. You should understand that much. Stay put. I’m not going to argue with you on this matter.”
For some strange reason, the one experiencing morning sickness is Yoo Joonghyuk, and not Kim Dokja.

“If…” Kim Dokja says, sleep infusing straight into his words. He buries his head into the pillow, trying to block out the sunlight filtering through the blinds. “If I’m not sick, then what am I?”
“Dokja,” Yoo Joonghyuk says. “You’re in pre-heat.”
“Ugh…”
Waking up feverish and uncomfortable, Kim Dokja latches onto what should be the most obvious cause of his misery: a mystery illness.

“You know how much my grandfather has been pushing for marriage,” Joonghyuk attempts to reason.
“He won’t like me,” Dokja argues.
Joonghyuk is used to this, of course. “He’s traditional, and you’re with,” he pauses, “my child. He’ll beat me once and tell me to wed you.”
He said ‘my child’. Wow. “There’s nothing stopping him from suspecting that I was the one who seduced you.”
At that, Joonghyuk starts looking him up and down. “I doubt he will.”
“... What’s that supposed to mean?”
Long-time friends Joonghyuk and Dokja fall into bed on an unlucky night and it produces... results. Naturally, Dokja attempts to flee, only for Joonghyuk to make an offer that he can't bring himself to decline, for some reason.
