Summary

Summary
It was no secret that she loved Christmas. She’d squealed about it every single time they’d had a mission that dealt with Santa or anything even vaguely related to Christmas. It also wasn’t a secret that Jenkins was two steps below a scrooge. That really didn’t bother her. After the first year he’d stopped trying to take down her decorations and begrudgingly allowed it between Black Friday and the Epiphany. He even accepted the glasses of eggnog she foisted on everyone, provided she spiked his with his favorite whiskey. But grudging acceptance was all she’d managed to get from him, certainly just humoring her, especially now that they were together. Even with Eve to channel her overabundance of Christmas Spirit, kissing under the mistletoe and everything else, she still really, really wanted Jenkins to enjoy the season too. Maybe, just maybe, there's something out there that she can gift him that might help him out in that regard, and she's on a mission to find it.

Summary
When Flynn leaves, Eve is devastated, though she does her best not to show it, to throw herself into work again, to be as normal as she possibly can and believe things will turn out okay. Jenkins and Cassandra are there to help her through, both in different ways, steadfast and quiet, empathetic and energetic. It will be enough. At least she hopes it will be as the date of the tethering looms and changes beyond Flynn leaving head for the Library faster than thought.
