    No matter how horrifying it looked all she could think about was "the curious case of Benjamin Button"

     

    All Klaus ever wanted was to break the curse and be what was rightfully his birthright. So he could raise an army of hybrids and take care of Mikael once and for all. He and his siblings wouldn't have to keep running, they could finally be free.

    The truth was, he was lonely. He wanted someone he could bear himself to, all of it. And for that woman to accept him as he was, his faults and all without expecting him to change. For centuries he was patient, he had to be ready. He supposed her patience was worn out because she had apparently come to him.

    "Hello, I'm Harri Potter," Her smile was beautiful and Klaus immediately gotten lost in her eyes - so vibrant and magical, a green that would haunt him for an eternity.

    "Forgive my brother, Miss Potter," Elijah said. "He seems to have lost his voice."

    Jasmina Charani Shelby - a fucking mouthful if you ask her.

    Though if you did, she would laugh because Charani meant Phoenix in Romani. She was a Phoenix that had risen from its ashes. Dramatic, but a fact.

    Jasmina used to be Harry. When she was Harry, she was a girl with a cursed life destined for a life of prophecies and unloved and yet praised by the masses for something she never had control over. When Voldemort killed her - finally killed her, she told Dumbledore at Kings Cross to "fuck off" and boarded that train that led to her having a nice chat with Death while she let the train take her to wherever the hell it was.

    He asked if she wanted a do-over or do something different or just go on to death. Harry didn't want to be Harry anymore. She was done. She no longer gave a flying hippogriff about any of them because she was just a kid forced to be a savior though all they had ever done was scorn her until it no longer suited them.

    But she didn't want to die. She was a kid, and she really wanted for once in her life to have a family who loved her enough to stay with her. To always choose her.

    And Death gave her heart's desire.

    She sounds older and younger all at once, an amalgamation of her pain and grief. A road map of her fears and struggle, and in that moment, Tommy see’s the spectre of that fifteen year old girl instead of the nineteen year old woman she is.

    Or alternatively:

    She’s a pretty thing made of knobbly knees, wild hair, pretty green eyes, and accent not from here.
    Tommy reckons he can get a good fuck out of her.
    Turns out he can’t, he still finds himself pretty smitten with the bird.
