    Chi-Chi had died, and Goku struggled to navigate this. over the years, he learned to live with it. Vegeta and Bulma divorced due to differences and found themselves better off being friends.
    Goku and Vegeta face an enemy, but the enemies defeat caused Goku to be sent to the past. He was on Planet Vegeta, which was under Frieza's rule. Until Bulma could find a way to bring Goku home, he had to play the part, which meant doing things Goku would never normally think of doing. Goku was still trying to navigate his mental health struggles, and felt that what he was about to do was only going to make it worse.
    He meets a younger Prince Vegeta, and things seem to go down a path Goku never expected.
