Summary
You are Horus Lupercal. Triumphant. Chosen. Merciful. And for all his regal bearing, and all his righteous fury, Roboute Guilliman is a pragmatist.
He does not anticipate what his surrender to the new regime will mean for him personally. What his fallen brothers will want from him. The depths they will seek to drag him to.

Summary
Once, there was a wolf. A great wolf. So mighty was he that when he leapt, the seas rose, and when he landed, the earth cracked beneath his paws. With a swipe of his claws, he could tear the moon from the sky. So fearsome was he, so strong and so cunning, that some even said he was the son of a god.
In time, a madness came upon the wolf. He ran howling through the night, wild and without reason, striking down all who crossed his path. Not for need, not for justice, not for vengeance. He slaughtered the guilty and the innocent alike, brother and stranger, warrior and child, until all the world ran red with blood.
Thus, a chain was forged to hold the wolf. But the great wolf was wary. Though his rage threatened to break the world itself, he would not let the collar be fastened around his neck. So one man stepped forward and placed his right hand between the beast’s jaws.

“How do you celebrate your victories?” Calgar asked.
Quintus looked up at him, startled. “Lord?”
“We must never forget who we fight for. Each other. Our brothers, our people, our species.” Calgar raised his chalice in a toast. “It’s good to remind ourselves that there’s still hope. And to mark our winning battles.”
“I— I don’t know, lord. I haven’t won any battles.”
“You did today,” Calgar said, smiling.

Summary
“You smell different,” he murmured. “A little sweeter.”
“My gene brothers and I lack two of the implants others have. Perhaps it's that.”
“Perhaps,” Adathan said. His lips touched the skin of Julen's neck like he was savouring a ripe fruit. “This will hurt. Are you sure you want to go through with it?”
In the ruins of war, a selfless offer of blood and a holy vision of their primarchs forges a deep bond between two members of the Deathwatch, Techmarine Adathan and Apothecary Julen.

Ahriman was exploring his technique, dissecting it with the same precision he applied to every problem. Hathor smiled faintly, impressed despite himself.
To feel Ahriman’s focus on his thoughts, to be the one teaching him, was a rare and heady thrill for Hathor. He deepened his connection with Paeoc, deliberately drawing it out, half to ensure Ahriman could follow the intricate, unfamiliar pattern, and half… to show off.

"There is a rather simple explanation for what you have so much trouble comprehending, Captain Khârn".
Sevatarion’s soft, husky voice pulls him out of his thoughts, and for a moment he is certain, a prickle of discomfort in the back of his skull, that the dark-eyed man has read his mind whole, and knows what he’s been thinking and wondering about just now.
"The hypno-indoctrination has been developed for application on subjects whose sexual awareness has not yet been decisively awakened. In all other cases, its efficiency is heavily compromised, and if used on those with an already formed understanding of their sexuality, it is little more than a formality."Bookmarked by FishLeather

Uriel had nothing to offer, but he could offer himself. Already scorned by his Chapter and now captured by Honsou, he had to offer something worth Honsou's time. It was the least he could do, especially since it was he who Pasanius had chosen to follow in this hell.

Summary
"A son of Magnus..." Gzrel murmured, licking his cracked lips. "I don't have one of your kind yet. Your service is accepted."
Ahriman bowed low. "Thank you, my lord."
"However," Gzrel continued, his voice thick with something unsavory, "the service I require goes beyond combat. Isn't that right, Maroth?"
"Yes, my lord," purred the sorcerer at Gzrel's side, leaning closer to his master. Ahriman, however, could feel the bone-deep disgust buried beneath the sorcerer's silken tone.
If he had still been Ahriman, he would have annihilated this place, reduced its grotesque inhabitants to ash, and left. But he was Horkos now. He rose from his bow, forcing himself to meet the being's appraising gaze.

"Stay still," Honsou mutters. "There are thousands of renegade warriors here who'd like to spill Ultramarine blood. Right now they think you're defeated and not worth the time, but if you struggle—"
"I'd rather go down fighting than be yours to torture," Ventris answers.
"I'm not taking you to my ship for torture," Honsou says. "So I'd appreciate it if you could restrain the impulse to be a heroic idiot."
