“Man, I can’t believe it,” Satoru whines, like a kid who dropped his ice cream. “I missed my favorite cam show tonight just because I had to fight Sukuna.”
Suguru’s eyes go wide. No. No way.
“Yup,” Satoru grins, throwing an arm over his face. “Total tragedy. Loyal subscriber, too. Spent weeks waiting. Then Sukuna’s ugly mug had to get in the way.”
“You—watch live streams?” Suguru asks, voice cracking.
“Hell yeah,” Satoru says, casual as anything. “There’s this one—pretty little thing, doesn’t show their face. Body’s unreal. Cute voice, all whiny and bratty, like they were born to beg.”
Suguru’s throat closes.
