    They had been called the lovers for a reason, their undoubted adoration for each other had radiated from the tower. If you had seen Kokabiel outside of his tower, Aziraphale would surely be with him. If you needed something from Aziraphale, you would most likely find him in Kokabiels tower, reading one of the few books allowed while the other worked. It was simply a well-known fact at this point; you couldn’t separate the two.

    OR:
    Aziraphale has to alter Crowley's memory before he fell so he wouldn't remember they were lovers.
