Burbank, CASometimes life exists as a wall. Unmoving and seemingly existing only to smother you. Other times it cradles you, like a float drifting along a lazy river.
Right now Zoey was sure that instead life was a tsunami.
One that tore through her peace and drove to force her to her knees in repentance.
Divorce.
It was an ugly word.
Invasive, final, powerful in a way that Zoey rejected.
The worst part?
She expected it.
It didn’t happen in one big fight, or even in anger. Just years of two halves of her life slowly pulling away from each other, and tugging her right along with them.
