Summary
En este AU, Jim es el hijo menor de Gunmar, llamado Jarl. Nace en las Tierras Oscuras y su padre lo envía a la Tierra para ayudar a Bular a reconstruir el puente de Killahead, pero esto puede tener consecuencias que el Aplastacráneos no esperaba.
Cuando Jarl es consciente del daño que causan, decide huir y abandonar a su familia. Esto lo llevará a vivir con una mujer humana y a conocer a su nuevo mejor amigo, también humano. Para olvidar su pasado, decide cambiar de nombre, pasando a ser James Lake Junior; en honor al esposo fallecido de su madre adoptiva.
Pero, ¿qué pasará cuando el Amuleto de la Luz del día lo escoja como el nuevo Cazador de Trolls? ¿Será capaz de traicionar a su familia y enfrentar a su propio hermano? -

Summary
In this AU, Jim is Gunmar's youngest son, named Jarl. He is born in the Dark Lands and his father sends him to Earth to help Bular rebuild the Killahead Bridge, but this may have consequences the Skullcrushers did not expect.
When Jarl becomes aware of the damage they cause, he decides to flee and abandon his family. This will lead him to live with a human woman and meet his new best friend, also human. To forget his past, he decides to change his name, becoming James Lake Junior; in honor of his adoptive mother's deceased husband.
But what will happen when the Amulet of Daylight chooses him as the new Troll Hunter? Will he be able to betray his family and confront his own brother?
