    Summary

They hummed their fragile harmonies and split the world in two,
These trembling little songbirds never knew what they would do!
They swayed and spun with swelling pride, convinced they knew the song,
These meek conductors waving sticks, (oh, how they got it wrong!)

For every note they hummed and held, each harmony they played,
They tore the veil a little more and chasms grand they made!
From holes they never thought to seal came horrors bent and vile,
Crawling up from endless black with many-toothed smile!

The Void develops appetite, grows teeth in grinning rows,
As Madness cackles, spins and leaps through rifts that no one knows!
What splendid chaos blooms tonight! What deadly, dancing glee,
When Nothing hungers for the world and Lunacy breaks free!

    Summary

Step right up and witness, friends, a tragic tale profound!
Where nothing's quite what nothing seems and sense cannot be found!
A mad god built a gateway once—as mad gods always do—
That leads beyond the bounds of real and into nightmares true.

The Magpie walked that pathway strange to honor lover's vow,
Through dreams constructed just for her—but tell me, darling, how?
The first deaths hurt with screaming dread and blood upon the floor,
But worse were those that followed next, each stripping something more.

Her lover's name dissolved like mist, then face, then reasons why,
She crossed that gate again, again—too hollow now to cry.

Enter the godling, ghostly thing, who thought she'd play the savior,
"Take my hand and I'll restore your love, your life, your favor!"
But ghosts can't see they're merely smoke, reflections without source,
A counterfeit of someone real—oh, tragic comic force!

That god now watches, wracked with guilt, and plots to set things right,
She'll shatter cosmic contracts old, ignite forbidden light,
For love makes fools of mortal hearts and deities' inventions,
And the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
