"I didn't even get to say goodbye," Sansa sniffled into his tunic.

"I was going to send her bones to Winterfell," Ned said slowly. "But the men found a weirwood tree near the road, about an hour north of here. They will bury her beneath it, and the old gods will watch over her."

Lady is buried beneath a weirwood tree, and Sansa prays to the old gods for Lady to stay with her. Her prayer is answered, in a manner of speaking. Everything changes.

Philza: Transatlantic, the Corvarians, all those motherfuckers who couldn’t handle us having a stronghold and good mines, they cut us off from everything in the darkest time of the year. They trapped us in the cold, in eternal night, because they figured if we starved to death, Port-aux-Francais would give them whatever deals they wanted, and they didn’t care who they were fucking killing.

We were peaceful, before the embargo. We just wanted trade deals, we collaborated with anyone who’d help us build our railroads. We never struck the first blow. After the embargo– after that winter– we figured that wasn’t gonna work.

Interviewer: So you adopted some new technologies.

Philza: Yeah, we had innovations in our manufacturing, our greenhouses, our fucking sanitation– but that’s not what you’re talking about, right? Forget the emperor shit. If you’re interviewing me about this, you don’t want to hear about the greenhouses.

You want to hear about the planes.

It turns out that Daisy still has a sturdy set of metal handcuffs from her days on the force. Jon knows that they weren’t with her on her trip through the Buried, because they’d both had to just give up and throw the clothes that they’d been wearing when they went into the Coffin away as unsalvageable lost causes. The cuffs would still have dirt caught in their teeth.

    Summary

“Leave him alone,” Phil was snarling, “stop, fucking stop, let me think for a second– get out of my fucking head, just wait, let me think!”

That was a savage tone, a facing off with the enemy tone, but the most Technoblade could muster in response was a bile-black, oily shudder, sticky with horror and scraps of adrenaline. Generally the aftermath of a major action was shakiness, so that wasn’t weird, but this was different somehow. He had his eyes closed. He was lying on the floor like a rookie who’d given up, and he couldn’t even muster determination at that because existence wasn’t real and neither was he–

Stop. Recalibrate. Philza was yelling at something above his head, and Techno was facedown on a stone floor, cold enough to sting the tiny amount of skin that touched it. The floor was adorned with symbols he didn’t recognize, an octangula with fluid wavering edges and more lines that hurt to look at, but he could simply decide to look away, so he did that.

Score one for Technoblade. If reality stopped making sense, that was reality’s problem.
