“Steamin’ bloody Jesus,” Soap breathes. “How often does he do this?”
Gaz turns, then, and meets his eye. “Us, and Price… We’re the only ones who’d live to talk about it,” he says. “It’s a last resort.” He reaches out, then, and puts his hand on Soap’s arm. “Being his handler means being the one to call the shots, Soap. We’re the only bloody things he cares about. Everything else is fodder. If you ever have to make this call, you better be damn sure you don’t care about survivors, because there won’t be any.”
Price had been so eager to give the order. Imagine holding the nuke in your hands, knowing that you’ll be the only thing to survive its detonation. Imagine being Noah, but with the power to call the Flood whenever he wished.
Soap shivers, something not altogether kind or good curling around his brainstem at the notion.
Whether Gaz clocks it or not, he can’t say, but he eventually murmurs, “You’ll need a psych eval after this. We all get one after Ghost smokes out. Even him.”
Soap frowns. “Why?”
Gaz shrugs. “You’ll have to ask him. Personally, I think we all like it a bit too much.”
Soap blushes, and doesn’t have the words for why.

Ghost wants to be responsible. Usually. Almost always, he wants to think things through, to be rational. But on nights like tonight, if he really wanted to be rational he wouldn’t be trying to hook up with a stranger in a bar. Looking at this man, he knows: this is what he wanted, this is the goal he came here to meet. Still, he doesn’t say anything.
The man sticks out his hand, a little awkwardly. “Name’s Johnny.”

Price takes one look at him and Soap knows he’s been made. He doesn’t know how the man can tell, but it’s there. It’s in the way the gleam in the Captain’s eyes turns curious and contemplative, his head cocking just a titch to the left while they sweep Soap from head to toe.
“I assume you have your reasons,” he says, and it’s not a question. It’s an oddly-worded order, but not one that makes Soap’s hackles bristle. He stands square at attention, eyes trained forward like a good soldier. For a moment — just a split second — he thinks about playing stupid. It’s in his file already — charming, cocky, friendly, human. A plain but pretty silver seal with a stylized H right there next to his name. He and Price have never officially met before today, have run similar but different circles. Soap is on the Captain’s radar because he’s damn good at what he does, and he’s even better at playing pretend when eyes are on him.

Summary
A better man would have turned the boy around. Would have told him to get lost, that he was too young for the deal that Ghost had to offer. But Ghost wasn’t a man, and even if he had been, he certainly wasn’t a good one. He dealt in death and deception. The hollow look to the boy’s gaze told Ghost that he certainly knew the Dealer was no saint.

Ghost opens his eyes slowly. He barely recalls what he did after — after he left Soap behind, again. Dead silent ride back to base, debriefing, Price’s white-hot anger threatening to boil over, Gaz small and quiet. Washing the grime off, praying to wake up and need to go through it again.

Ghost arches a critical, amused brow just to watch MacTavish scowl. “Well, there’s your problem, sir. Maybe if you stopped fuckin’ women half your size you’d be gettin’ somewhere past the halfway mark.”
“And you’re suggestin’ what — that I find some girl and stick my prick up her arse?”
“It has to be a woman?”
MacTavish stares at him, struck silent. Ghost inches his knees apart and tries and fails to keep the smirk off his lips when his captain’s eyes drop. He watches as MacTavish’s throat bobs, swallowing heavily before he rasps, “I’m not gay, Riley.”
Ghost nods easily. He doesn’t spit the word, at least, doesn’t cringe away at the mere suggestion. Just a statement: he’s not gay, so he hasn’t considered asking a man. “‘S alright,” he grins, lilts his tone into something blithe and oblivious as he bends his knee, frames the bulge in his leggings just so — “More for me, I suppose.”

He decides he can't and won't live like this, and searches out a witcher to kill him when he's unsuccessful himself. Of course......he finds Geralt, or does Geralt find him?

When Jaskier wakes up, the light is uncommonly bright to his eyes, and he has to squint against it. He’s not sure he remembers going to sleep the previous night, and briefly accuses himself of gulping down the bottle of Toussainti wine he’d filched from the inn, leaving a few crowns in its place.He rubs his hands over his face, and realises that as he does so, the strange metallic scent that hangs in the air gets stronger. When he pulls his hands away to look at his palms, he stiffens. There are red stains on the skin, some of it dried and flaking in the creases.
It’s very definitely not wine.
