His baby-soft skin was almost shining, coated in a sheen of soapy water. Yes, he was getting older, but we had always done it, and it was my favourite way to get off. His 3rd-grade bum crack was just barely visible in the murky water, soft and subtle; its sight always made me unbelievably hard. It was a shame he was learning that boys and dads his age didn't usually do this, much less that they did it together. I loved every moment, and thankfully, the pull of our tradition meant that we had been able to continue it far beyond what most boys would have done.

Summary
Toby Mitchell, 5 years old, meets Firefighter Pete McCullough, 45 years old, who shows interest in the young boy. Being neighbors, he becomes a fixture in the young boys life.
