Summary
On a person’s 18th birthday, they received an official government evaluation, consisting of a lengthy interview and multiple conversations with trained therapists to designate them into one of many social categories. The first main distinction was whether or not an individual was a Dom or a sub.
Either distinction was labeled on your ID, and it was generally understood that Doms required regular sessions of control and power play, while subs needed stimulation and a corrective eye.
From there, if a Dom wanted, they could be evaluated to be categorized even more specifically--sadist, caregiver, leather and rubber categories, pet owner--the list went on. A Dom could seek out an evaluation on their own, at any point, and could then be evaluated again if they wished to add or remove any label on their ID if they wanted.
A sub didn’t have that freedom.

Summary
III always feels heavy.
It’s the only way he can describe it. Vessel says he’s fragile.
He’s fragile in the sense he is quick to emotion (even though he can’t always voice it, so he tends to collapse in on himself) and feels so much, and so deeply, about everything. Good or bad, happy and sad, his empathy is a curse that keeps him in a chokehold.
To him, it is something akin to a curse.
He feels heavy. Always heavy- everything always just feels too much.
He feels so guilty when he’s like this. He doesn't want his lovers to have to deal with him in this mood. They love him so damn unconditionally- and yet he still feels like this? It doesn’t make fucking sense and it’s not fair to them that he can’t just exist happily.
But, his lovers (particularly IV) are quick to remind him just how much they love him, no matter what.
