Online archive of the Blake's 7 printzine "Dead Boyfriend of the Week" - a special issue of "Tales From Space City".
"Dead Boyfriend of the Week" is an evil idea I got back when I was writing the Blake/Bellfriar story and contemplating an Avon/Farren. Subverting the dead girlfriend of the week syndrome seems to me to be entirely in keeping with the B7 ethos of trashing Trek’s Pylene 50 future :-> And there are so many potential candidates, starting with Bran Foster and finishing with Blake himself.

The online copy of volume 2 is unlikely to ever be complete, as I no longer have contact details for some of the authors (and sadly, some are no longer with us).

Summary
Blake has taken Avon on an overnight trip, with seduction in mind. The evening has not gone as planned, and that's before they end up in the hotel car park at 3 am courtesy of a fire alarm. Blake opts for sulking since he's not getting sex, and then decides on returning to the room that starting a food fight is more fun. Which is how Avon ends up dressed only in leather boots & about half a pint of whipped cream...

Trapped on Terminal with the Liberator gone and days of work needed to make the only available ship spaceworthy, Avon decides he can spare a little time to investigate one mystery:
And yet, it was not all illusion. The phantom he'd spoken to, all unknowing, had existed in the computer at least. Was it just a programmed simulation, unaware, guided from outside; or truly a fragment of Blake's personality recreated by Servalan's technicians, self-aware... and trapped?

The title is a quote from the mutoid in the first season episode "Duel". Emma Peel put out a call for a zine about the mutoids, cybernetically modified humans whose original personalities have been blanked -- and I wondered, "What if there was a mutoid for whom that line was not just brainwashing, but the literal truth?" This story is the answer to that question.
