After the Last Supper, Alicent and Rhaenyra say goodnight to Viserys together. Fully aware of Viserys's wishes, Alicent must now choose between her king's love for his daughter, and her own love for their sons. And though she 'knows' in her heart that her family deserves the throne, claiming it comes with a price: Rhaenyra's life.

Alicent knows Aegon's not fit to rule, but she still fears Daemon's ascension. Inspired by the fate of the first and last Storm Queen, she proposes a creative way to save Rhaenyra by installing Aemond as her King Consort. Aemond gets to reign, Otto gets to rule, Aegon gets to relax, Ser Criston gets revenge, and Alicent gets Rhaenyra. Everyone gets what they want. Every one of the Greens, that is.
Rhaenyra is the key to the Seven Kingdoms, and the Hightowers hold her in their hands. More importantly, they hold the mother of seven children. And while Daemon is a formidable commander, he's also a terrible parent.

Summary
When Jon Snow commits treason and plunges his blade into Daenerys' breast, the Lord of Light is not finished with Azor Ahai. Drogon lands in Volantis--Quaithe mysteriously arrives to guide Kinvara. By sacrifice, amid smoke and fire and blood, Daenerys again takes breath, damaged and twisted by her death, but remembering three cardinal convictions, three objectives to guide a second chance at life: Liberty, Revenge, and Family. The world overturns in War, and a young girl from the aristocracy of Old Volantis is challenged by her family's ancient connection to the Dragon Queen. This story is beta-read and directly contributed to by Wardown, and inspired by discussions with him, as well as a request to Wardown by Morrika. Chapters in which Wardown contributes with full scenes are attributed as such.

Summary
As they flew, Rhaenys watched her granddaughter. Her curls had been blown free from their pins, streaming in the wind, and she had raised a hand to idly trace the underside of a cloud. A sudden desperation seized her. If Corlys died, Baela would be one of the last two things binding her to this life.
Rhaenys shook her head, discarding the feeling, and settled in her saddle. There were three things that she had absolute faith in: Meleys, her husband, and that it would be Baela who would inherit the Driftwood Throne, even if it killed Rhaenys to put her there.
Rhaenys pushes for Baela's claim during the Driftmark succession crisis and finds herself sharing common ground with Alicent Hightower and her strange, half-Targaryen children. As war seizes the realm, Rhaenys, Baela, and Rhaena must navigate House Velaryon to safety, fighting alongside the people always believed to be their enemy.

Trans!masc Rhaegar/Robert Baratheon was not the Rare!pair I ever expected to see, but it's fantastically done.
