“You’re not a very hard guy to catch, you know.”

    Golden armor. Crimson accents.

    “Avery.”

And it’s different this time. It isn’t it’s you. It isn’t I found you. No, it’s—

“You’re alive,” Avery says, a little breathless.

Or, Avery finds himself reliving New Year’s Eve over and over, but he’ll try as many times as he has to if it means he can save Derek.

    Summary

Derek slumps in his chair. After so long, he closes his eyes. A smile reaches his lips. Tears well and pour. His pulse stops in a rhythm. His life is slipping, and the universe floods his eyes. The stars, the earth, all of history, all that will ever be, aliens and starships, occultism and symbols, every language across the known realm; It's too fast to comprehend, but the beauty brings him to breathlessness. The king's screams echo through the chaos.

Somewhere, out there, right there, right here, Avery cries. Derek knows he's mourning. The hope, the hopelessness, the love, the betrayal, the grief, he willingly feels it all. He looks through the house. Avery's mother is watching the ball drop, His sister and brother bicker over alcohol. Fireworks thunder outside. Derek revels in the celebrations. He won't get another. Avery's sobs are drowned out by the noise below. He extends his oblivion-touched hands, but cannot reach him.

    Summary

He fights like he’s angry at the world. She heals like the world is worth saving.

For months, Kirra kept the rhythm—patch him up, send him back, forget his name. But Ryo’s the kind of fighter who makes forgetting impossible—sharp eyes, bruised knuckles, and a darkness that would make the strongest soldier flinch.

Then a street fight drags her out of the warehouse and into his world—the one that doesn’t end when the bell rings. Suddenly, Kirra isn’t just patching wounds. She’s learning how much damage a man like him can take… and how much she’s willing to risk just to keep him breathing.

    Summary

    “Someone’s close. Do not ente-“
He sees it right before he hears it; the glint of light off a metal sniper scope.
It’s as if a thunderstorm had suddenly rolled in over him. A roaring clap of thunder echoes through the clearing and the hot lightning follows right after, striking him through the neck. His vision goes bright white before the edges fade to black. He hits the ground hard, the air is knocked from his spasming lungs.
He’s panicking, the pain and immediate blood loss turning him into a primal creature hell bent on one thing: survival. If his mind hadn’t been severed from his body, he probably would have been able to appreciate the freeing feeling that came with not having to live in his own head.
He probably also would have recognized the voices calling for him.
    He’s still screaming.

(Chamber dies on a mission and is forced to come face to face with his biggest fears. Can he learn to grow and open up to his teammates or will he continue to let the past haunt him?

    Summary

Cypher was dead. Permanently. Sage couldn’t bring him back, and his secrets were buried with him.

So why could Sova still see him? Hear him? Feel his presence lingering in the dark corners of the room?

At first, he tried to explain it—grief, exhaustion, guilt. But then the encounters grew more frequent. More tangible. Cypher wasn’t just a trick of the mind. He was there. Watching. Speaking. Laughing in that infuriating, knowing way of his.

And worst of all? He wasn't the only one.

    AKA

Five times Sova and Omen saw Cypher’s ghost (and the one time everyone did.)
