"I... didn't want to go alone."
Ratchet stared at him. Then stepped back, huffing. "You came mid lunar cycle to tell me you couldn't travel to Kaon by yourself?"
Orion winced at the wording, tucking his arms closer to himself and standing straight again. "I... yes."
Ratchet scoffed, rolling his optics harder than Orion had ever seen before, turned and disappeared into his berthroom.
Orion cringed, mentally smacking himself for wording it so harshly. Maybe- he should've been a little less blunt? Maybe apologized for waking Ratchet out of recharge?
Who was he kidding. Ratchet wasn't going to get up and travel all the way to fragging Kaon, missing all his classes and missing out on his recharge. It wasn't a surprise he'd left.
The berthroom door hissed, and Ratchet remerged, bag in hand.On order of Alpha Trion Orion Pax is to go to Kaon in search of proof for the council to 'fix' it. What he finds is far different from what he expects, and in some ways exactly the same. A certain Gladiator can't seem to choose what side of that scale he's on.
