Summary
The gore-stricken wastes where the killers made their hunting grounds are Copper-9's only grave.
Somewhere among the innumerable riven corpses is what Khan seeks, restless, haunted by unhealed memory. Purple fairies. Yellow lights. A violent, dazzling dance before the open Door One. Monstrous gnashing, clawing, beating. Bygone things. World's got little left for him. There is one remaining need in his weary core.
A burial. He just wants a burial.

Summary
In the twilight zone between dead and living, Serial Designation J glimpses a memory she was never meant to relive. This delusion, this phantasmagoria, it reveals in her a corruption she can't stand, failure beyond measure. In the numb, dark aftermath, plunged into an abyss without sights or sounds, she makes the only choice she can -- to fulfill her mission.
Only there is someone out there, a name she doesn't know, yet somehow remembers so fondly.

Summary
The trauma of transformation leaves scars much deeper than a drone's plastic shell -- deeper even than mangled insides twined with flesh. Though N was made to forget, V wasn't. The frame-by-frame image of her hollowing, her kenosis, is burned into her drives; not just her body torn into something else, but being forced to watch N go through the same.

Summary
Warren's memories begin with the death of his sister. Her body split in half, her eyes flickering to red. Though many years - and fifty-cal bullets - have turned his luck around, closure isn't quite at hand.
The last Murder Drone has vanished. His very last target. That's a problem an anti-matériel sniper rifle can't solve.
It's a problem that might haunt him forever.

Summary
Uzi attempts to use Robo-Satan's help for cleaning after strange sensations wake her up yet again. Something else takes over right behind her eyes -- something we humans would call "hunger". The only available remedy are the thousands of drone corpses that make up the Disassembly Drones' home.
There’s a gap between seeing a corpse, even between being innately familiar with corpses, and sinking your teeth into one.
