So I had a idea from the logs we get from Hero mode in splatoon 3. Saying the crystals held the dreams of dead humans and got absorbed by squids and octopi but what if in one rare case, the love of two humans wanting to be together got into a couple of crystals and maybe you can guess from there. This is a very very rushed typed out thing from a idea and i haven't written stories before. Thanks for reading this and enjoy. If it gets enough attention i'll try posting more!
