Summary
Bobby, Buck, Hen, Chimney, and Eddie are somehow roped into doing an internet interview behind the scenes of 'Hot Shots' with some of the cast. Buck doesn't want to do it, but he does, because Bobby tells him it's for a good cause. Except they mostly want to talk to the actors and first responders about their lives outside of their careers. Things like what they did before following the path they chose. Except ... Buck never talked to anyone about what he did before. And now he's stuck doing an interview with his friends about it.
He's not being petty because Eddie's leaving soon. He's being petulant. Because this is stupid.

Summary
What if Tommy bought an engagement ring for Buck days after their hookup? His heart still carrying an ember of hope and a wildfire of love even though all seems lost. What if, after tragedy and loss and life kicking him while he is down, Buck needs a place to stay? What if Tommy is there to lend a helping hand, a spare room and friendship - never believing he could have more? What if Buck regrets his choice of words that morning after - carrying his own flame for his ex? What if Buck finds the ring? I imagine it would be something like this.
Taking place after the events of 8x11, 8x14-18. While not delving into the events themselves they are mentioned. They are the catalyst for this story. You have been warned.

Summary
After the "incident in the kitchen" at the end of season 8, Buck has to come to terms with Eddie's growing abusive tendencies over the years, the fact that they increase in the face of Eddie's grief over Bobby's death, and the fact that the 118 is no longer Buck's home. Along the way, he figures out what he wants home and family to truly mean, with some help from Tommy, Ravi, Athena, and the Deluca family.
