Summary
Quiet stared at the man, well, bird that he had only seen once. He remembers staring at the shards of glass in the Long Quiet and wishing he could do something for him, even if The Narrator had assured him that it didn't hurt. To watch him fade away hurt Quiet, even if he had been the one to lock them both away in the construct. He still had so many questions for him, ones that he thought he would never be able to ask because the one person who would truly know was gone.
