"Claiming the land, claiming its pain, claiming its death..."
The Stolen Lands is a wilderness of rugged beauty, infested by bandits, monsters and other dangers, wedged between countries that know better than to try and claim it. One day, however, a neighbouring ruler starts to recruit adventurers, intending to break the rule of bandits on the Stolen Lands and organise it into a puppet state.
Guelder, an elven druid carrying the curse of lycanthropy, is one of the many who heed the call, and the one who ultimately prevails. It will be her task to bring law and order to the Stolen Lands, walking a thin line between building civilisation and preserving nature. As she gradually discovers the secrets of the land, she realises she has wandered to the playground of mysterious powers that use her as a pawn in their game, like they did so many others before her – and those powers do not want her to succeed.
Will she be able to break the cycle and build a kingdom that will survive her? -

When she meets an intriguing young man she sees a glimpse of a different life, one full of wonder and acceptance.
NOTE: I had to go off-cannon for the timeline.
This story is set 43-50 years after the Witch Storm.
Jaenelle and the Coven are in their 70s.
Lucivar and Marian's children were born much sooner than cannon.
Daemonar was 1-ish during the war.
Titian was born 6 years after the Witchstorm (AW), Andulvar 7 years after that.
Andulvar was born 13 years AW.
43-50 AW Andulvar is 30-37 yo; a mature teen for the purposes of this story. Everyone will age weirdly, I couldn't figure out an equation to make it make sense, even in the books.
There is no Queen's Bargain/Weapons/Price. Not so much a fix-it as a screeching off-ramp into wild country.

He’s holding a stack of wood in his arm, carrying it over to the fire.
Jimmy sets the wood down by the fire, crouching down and throwing a few log in before standing up.
The avian starts to take off his gloves, walking behind the couch, over towards the hall closet to put his winter clothes away.
Stephan takes another sip of their coco, lowering the mug.
With no warning, Jimmy hops over the back of the couch, flopping down, almost spilling the cardinal hybrid’s drink.
