Summary
Waking up in a VA wasn't on Billy's to do list, in fact it wasn't even a thought crossing through his mind. Nurses were walking in and out, one coming in without even looking at him as she took his pulse, she walked out and back in with paperwork. “Can't say it's your lucky day but others would be happy as clam if they got this.” she tossed a packet on his lap. Billy took it and read quietly to himself “Is this a fuckin DD214?” he said reading it again to make sure he read everything right. “Why the hell am I being discharged? There's nothin wrong with me!” the nurse rolled her eyes at him “You have radiation poisoning, your lucky to even be alive from the amount you had before we pumped your stomach"

Billy is ruined and a hallow shell of who he uses to be and Steve needs somebody to hold on to who could care less (he really does care tho.)
