Summary
This story is a slow, interior one. It’s interested less in plot mechanics or quick resolution, and more in what survival leaves behind—in the body, in memory, in relationships that don’t fit neatly anymore.
I’m writing June’s recovery as nonlinear and often uncomfortable, and the people around her—Nick, Luke, Theo, Rita—are meant to complicate that process rather than solve it. Love here doesn’t erase damage. Safety doesn’t arrive all at once. Some answers take a long time to surface, and some never fully do.
Nick’s presence in this story is intentional in its restraint. His absence matters as much as his eventual arrival, and when he does appear, it won’t be as a cure or a reward. Choices will stay messy. Feelings will overlap. Growth won’t always look like progress.
If you’re here for quiet tension, emotional realism, and character-driven exploration, I’m glad you found this. If you’re looking for faster catharsis, I appreciate your patience—I promise the slowness is purposeful.
Thank you for reading. It means more than you know.
“This is a non-commercial work of fanfiction based on The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood and its TV adaptation. I do not own the characters or universe.”

Summary
Hawkins was slowly rebuilding after the “earthquake” and life was returning to a new normal. Cyclical events were being planned, including prom. When Robin needs a date, Steve is there to step in, even if it means having to see Nancy after his failed confession in the Upside Down.

Summary
Sometimes there are moments when you see something that alters your perspective- where everything becomes clear. Sometimes the moments are grand, sometimes they are barely a flicker in the corner of your eye. But when these moments happen you always know that the world is just a little bit changed.
This story follows the moments when the various members of the Party realize that Steve Harrington is truly and irrevocably in love with Nancy Wheeler.
(This is really an anthology of short stories and drabbles all set with the same theme. Each chapter is from a different characters POV and set at a different point in the timeline.)

Summary
Escape isn’t always a border crossing.
Sometimes it’s a decision.
Sometimes it’s survival.
Sometimes it’s learning how to live again after the running stops. While editing You Change Me, a new idea took hold—an alternate universe escape story set in the world of The Handmaid’s Tale.
In Gilead, escape usually means one thing: running. Running from an authoritarian regime, from its laws, its violence, and the ever-present threat of the Wall. But escape can take many forms, and not all of them are as dramatic as slipping across a border in the dead of night.
This story begins with a desperate flight from Gilead, but the deeper journey is about what it means to truly break free—from fear and guilt, and to fully understand what true rebellion looks like.
The shadow of Gilead looms large,
Because even after you escape Gilead…
Gilead doesn’t let go.As always, I don’t own The Handmaid’s Tale. I’m just a fan who enjoys writing stories with some of my favorite literary characters.
