Jaskier saves a princess and has to deal with her asshole father as a result by TheCuriousCat

Summary
Jaskier hasn't had a good go of it so far. Her parents disowned her because she wanted to play music instead of being a doctor, the love of her life had run off and married her most hated rival (fuck Valdo Marx to the god damned moon and back), and she'd been almost burned to death by a stalker the police hadn't been bothered enough to keep an eye on.
She'd hyped herself up about moving to this little town in butt fuck nowhere, a new start and a quiet place for her to compose the most epic ballad that would ruin Valdo's stupid life, so of course something had to go wrong.
There is one road in and out of the town surrounded by a forest that seems to swallow people whole, and those who seem to escape it for a little (because no one escapes it for long?!) babble about monsters with the faces of humans.
So, you know, Jaskier just has to end up entering the forest at some point. Sue her, she's never been good at listening to authority figures. At least she does it for a noble reason. This is how she ends up housing a healing princess while her father and his family 'protect' her by aggressively stalking her at all times.
Stupid, annoyingly hot, king and his stupidly attractive softness for his daughter.

Summary
“Then why are you stiff?” Yennefer asks.
“Oh, nothing, just a few too many days on the road. You know me- human, and all that, it doesn’t matter, I shall get going to the tavern and leave you two to your very fun business exploring each others’ bodies-"
But before Jaskier has the chance to finish his statement, Yennefer’s hand is sneaking beneath his tunic and yanking it up, undoing the buttons on his doublet with a flick of the finger-
And revealing bruises painted across his torso with far less precision than artists in Oxenfurt wield their brushes. The difference between villagers and their fears of the unknown and how they stain across every stranger they meet and those taught art by the best teachers in the land, Jaskier supposes.
Yennefer’s expression snaps from smirk to scowl instantly, just as quickly as Geralt rises to his feet, going to his bag. “Who did this to you?”
(When some villagers accompany their coin with a lesson for bards who associate themselves with Witchers, Jaskier is ready to tuck himself away from the temptation of touch from a Witcher and a sorceress he is sure don't care about him.
Said sorceress and Witcher might have something to say about that.)

Summary
Jaskier adjusted the lute on his back, the city of Cintra on the horizon. He had not met any friends on his travels to the city, but then again, he hadn’t expected to do so. He was with several other bards, all responding to the call Cintra had made for bards to make a song cycle about Queen Cirilla’s reign. Even with his hasty exit from Redania, he managed to send a letter to a friend who he hoped would be a friendly face in the city, though they had not parted well.
The young queen was shrouded in mystery with a bit of infamy. Everyone knew that she was claimed by the Law of Surprise by the Butcher of Blaviken. The deranged witcher brought some of his witcher friends when Nilfgaard tried to conquer Cintra. Though Cirilla was only twelve at the time, her powers combined with the witchers were able to keep Cintra from the edge of defeat, though her grandmother still lost her life in the process. At the age of twelve, she was put on the throne, despite not being of age.
