Summary
The last thing Giyū saw was the horrible creature known as Muzan crawling away to another part of their quickly crumbling world, taking the hashira who could still fight with him, and the bodies of those who no longer couldn't, behind him. Giyū was the latter, trying to stand up even through the sea of blood at his feet. He was dying.
Why was this happening? Wasn't the slayer mark supposed to boost his survival?
Turns out, it did. Maybe a little too well.
Fate had once again chosen the wrong person to save, Giyū thought, back in his thirteen year old body, staring at his dead childhood friend right in the face. Tanjiro would have been so much better at time travel.

Giyuu killed the hand demon! And he used lull!
Giyuus freak out makes so much sense I mean it was SUPER bound to happen
He’s been pushing himself since the start, got it a fight with Sabito, convinced he’d die after slaying the hand demon, and hadn’t processed his death yet like he was gonna crack eventually
But he ran off,,, I’m assuming this is gonna make his a stray slayer?? Also if Sabito completes the selection and Giyuu isn’t there, he’s totally gonna assume Giyuu is dead. Murata will too. And I know they’d both feel guilty
Like Sabito would blame himself, or at least wouldn’t be able to stop thinking of what ifs
But yeah Giyuu ran off! I wonder what this means for him in general like obv I have my theory but there’s still so much that can happen I’m SO excited
And he met lady Tamayo and Yuichiro! That’ll be sm fun
