“I’m trying,” Will pants against Mike's palm, his breath fanning the skin.
“Try harder,” Mike murmurs. He lessens the pressure of his hand to roll his hips forward again, grinding against Will's heat.
A week into their cross-country college road trip, six friends cram into a cheap highway motel. With Dustin and Lucas asleep mere feet away, and El staying in the connecting room next door, Mike and Will push the limits of their secret relationship.

“I am Sir Michael the Brave, sworn protector of this realm and—” His helmet gets tangled in his hair as he tries to dramatically take it off and Will giggles. “—Shit uh. Hold on. Gimme a moment. Stupid fucking helmet,” he mumbles under his breath.
“Huzzah!” Mike exclaims when he finally frees his curls from the durable metal. The helmet promptly slips from his hands and clatters loudly onto the hardwood floor.
They both stare at it as they try to remain composed.
Mike clears his throat and straightens, procuring a plush bouquet of roses from behind his back. “As I was proclaiming before I was so rudely attacked by my own armor— I, Sir Michael the Brave, have vanquished all foes, slain every monster and man who dare lay their eyes on my liege, and decorated this sacred dwelling in honor of the Feast of Saint Valentine.”
Or: Mike—the absolute horny dork that it is—concocts a “brilliant” plan to woo Will on their first Valentine’s Day together. Cut to: Mike dressing up at a knight, Mike’s unhealthy obsession with The Painting®, Will’s glorious ass, and shameless sex fueled by classic, blissful love.
