When he's done, he places Evan's leg back on the ground, and although the anger is still present on his face, he gives Evan the once-over before extending a hand to him. Evan takes it, and Tommy pulls him up, easily catching the way his jaw clenches when his leg hits the ground.
"Residual or new," Tommy asks, holding Evan against him purposely so the younger man can regain his balance.
"T-the harness," Evan murmurs. Tommy nods once. When Evan has his balance, Tommy lets go of his arm and looks him in the eyes. He's marginally less pissed, and the concern is more present.
"Take it easy," he murmurs. "I'm sure Howie will keep you offline for the last few hours anyway."
Evan nods, and Tommy squeezes his bicep—the closest thing he'll get to a kiss or an I love you right now—before releasing him.
So, so, so fucked.
