Summary
An alternate ending to "Day of the Sorcerers", the opening episode of season IV. Cedric becomes king, but is still conflicted. Grimtrix and Wormwood are Enchancia's real threat, and Cedric must navigate new challenges as he struggles to gain the respect of the people, including Sofia. Eventual aged-up Cedfia. This version will be the family-friendly version my kids get to read, but there will ultimately be the mature-audiences version I've got rolling around in my head. (Edit: At this point I may just add a separate chapter, this is a long story!). I've been reading fan-fics for years, and I'm finally writing my own!
The number of chapters will be about 20 . I keep adding chapters as I write, so I don't trust my initial outline anymore, haha.Edit 7/23/21- OMG, CedfiaWeek is so awesome! And I didn't realize what it was or when it was until now. Midsummer in this story was a coincidence for that prompt, but I'm going to work the other ones into the story, even if I'm a month+ late. And I'll pay closer attention next year! I didn't realize until now how many other people love Cedfia, what a fun community! I'm loving your stories and artwork. <3

After losing the trust of the kingdom after the Day of the Sorcerers and finding out the truth about his sister, Cedric finds himself feeling rather awful. Despite what his past has shown him, Cedric finds himself being taken care of by the people he least suspected to ever care.
