She watched as Madeleine’s skin grew pinker, as it began to glow, reinvigorated with fresh blood. She watched as Madeleine’s eyes fluttered closed, as she held the man’s neck ever closer to her, drinking as much as she could, lost in the ecstasy of the kill.
