Summary
The Cultivation World is Old. Filled with legends and stories about terrible Monsters and perpetrators of great feats. Three years after the Sunshot Campaign life has moved on. Wei Wuxian is still the Jiang First Disciple, and feels as ineffective as ever. Still haunted by the dead, his own secrets, and his failing relationships; still cursed for the red eyes he sometimes wears. An unplanned occurrence shakes him from the stupor that his life has become. But the dangerous thing about wakeful eyes is that they sometimes land on things that they weren't looking for.
