He needed assistance getting rid of the swarms of guards protecting the governor's home throughout the cities yearly gala, it is believed that there are oceans of old valuable artifacts stored in the estate. Accepting the mission, Illumi remembered something Hisoka had mentioned to him a week before about his interest in killing Chrollo and how he had just gotten the perfect opportunity. At first he payed no attention to it, but at further evaluation of the magicians skills, he could most definitely end up killing his client. He had to prevent that, no matter what.
