The problem was her back.
Post-Golden House, Lumine wakes up with daily pain. She no longer has her celestial powers; therefore, she no longer has her old healing abilities.
But Lumine could manage. She learned her limits and handled it. All she wanted to do was continue on to Inazuma, avoid Childe and Zhongli, and find her brother.
If only Childe wasn't making that so difficult. He's an annoying, incessant pest who won't leave her alone, and that only gets worse after he finds out they're soulmates.
(In which Lumine contemplates homicide and Childe is smitten.)

“Venti. These are all from separate guys.”
“Then take your pick!”

Lumine, on a quest to find her kidnapped brother, enters the Ascension Tournament, where the victor may choose to study under one of the current archons. Trying to cross paths with anyone who has a chance at information, she decides to try and use Barbatos’ name to speak with the nobility.
She attracts attention, but it may not be what she is initially looking for.
