Summary
Derek is secretly the superhero El Lobo. After he and Laura safely evacuate everyone from an apartment fire, they go to consult with Deaton as they believe the fire was set by Kate Argent. While there, they overhear a conversation between Stiles and Scott. Scott wants Stiles to start dating again, but Stiles is pining after Derek.
This retells part of chapter 1 of 'and i'll write you a tragedy' from Derek's pov. It will make a lot more sense if you read that first. Derek and Stiles don't get together in this fic, so if you want that (eventual) happy ending you will need to read the original. And also you should just read it because it's fantastic.
