Danny’s looking at him like he’s crazy. His hair’s dried up into a mess of waves, and there’s some tomato seeds on the corner of his mouth. “You just bailed me out of jail. And you think this is a good idea?”
“I don’t have bad ideas, Fenton. And like you’ve just said, I have collateral on you.”
“So you’re blackmailing me into pretending to date you?”
Tim shrugs. “Or you could just sign the NDA.”

Danny's trying to recover all the shards to an entity's chalice so that it'll stop destroying the zone while tensions rise amongst his subjects- and trying to finish high school.
Tim's juggling his case load, his work as CEO, and does not have time to be embroiled in a sex scandal right now. If that means he has to pretend to date a very suspicious heir to a rival company, then so be it.
It's a mutually beneficial relationship. So what if Tim's becoming a little too intrigued by the illusive, powerful Phantom? So what if Danny can't stand the Justice League for leaving him to deal with all of Amity's problems when he was just 14? That's a superhero thing.
And their fake boyfriend has no clue that they're a superhero.

When I think of this story, my mind is convinced it only just found it, maybe a year ago max. Six years later, I am still heartbroken over the complexities of Jack Harkness and just how he loves the man who can never stop running.

Summary
Childe had always assumed that he would die young. He had accepted that a long time ago, ever since he accepted the mantle of a Fatui Harbinger. However, he always thought that he would die in a glorious fight, his body broken but spirit relishing the strong opponent that had bested him. He was okay with that type of death.
Unfortunately, it seemed like Fate had decided to add one last insult to injury, because, here Childe was, dying because he had fallen in love with the ex-Geo Archon. The same Archon who seemed to have discarded him like an old toy ever since the Osial Incident.

He's an awkward, stunted, horrifically lonely teenager who is only just starting to realize what being loved and cared for looks like. Dabi is not the kind of caretaker anyone would have wanted for him, but damn is he trying to shove all of his sharp edges into something resembling care for the littlest brother who keeps saving his life.
