    Something crunched on the stone behind him. Avery whipped around, hand already going for a weapon. He was met with the point of a blade at his jugular. A figure clad in golden armor studied him carefully from under the shadow of their helmet. Slowly, they tilted their head. 

    With their other hand, they lifted a finger to where their mouth should be and shushed him.

    Avery is intent to learn more about that book and its author. Unfortunately, wanting to know how to crack the cipher becomes needing to know how to care for a half-mad soldier and avoid infinite knowledge--at least, he's pretty sure that's what's happening.

    D3rlord3 always was the smarter of the two, however with his escape cut short by ḤĮ§ control. D3rlord3 can only try hopelessly to stop ḤÎM from corrupting another. Despite his headaches one name stands out to him, the next target: Avery.

    (Basically D3rlord3 tries to protect Avery from the king's plans, until his stupid heart has to go and catch feelings. Dun dun DUNNNNN!!!!)
